Take a Walk for Me

Sligo Arts Service / Healthy Ireland Commission

During lockdown in 2020, Sligo Arts Service commissioned four artists to explore a local walk and find a way to creatively share this with people during a time of social isolation. Images were shared on social media and through postcards

I created of a small book, ‘Pathnotes’, a collection of visual images and text inspired by what I became aware of from walking this part of the Sligo Way.

I am fascinated by the layers of human relationship with the land and the plants and animals whose habitats we walk through. Walking is a way of reconnecting us with these relationships.
